A WWII Nazi Germany German Luftwaffe Belt Buckle and Belt. This particular badge is an original and not a reproduction and came from an estate of a 90 year old gentleman who served in Europe during WWII in the United States Army and had other authentic items found on this website.
The Buckle has an Eagle with its wings spread and a Swastika in its claws in flight. I'm not sure if there is anything on the back of the buckle because I wont be removing the belt, I'm leaving it in the original condition I received it in.
The Belt Buckle is approx 2 1/2" X 1 3/4" in size and the belt from the buckle to the end of the belt when stretch out to full length is apprx 38" total.
The belt appears to be leather, be it 60 year old leather but leather, and the metal latch at the end of the belt is solid and the stitching on the belt is very solid, no loose, all areas of the belt appear to be very tight.
The buckle appears to be in decent shape, but I'm not a grader, it does have age wear in spots and the back of the buckle from the areas I can see may have some minor surface rust. I'll leave it to the experts to clean it up it possible, so I dont cause any damage to it. Please see the images for overall condition.

The badges were made of primarily nickel silver, zinc, Tombak and early on aluminum which was done away with around the early 1940s and those are the one collectors highly desire for quality and they are their rarity.
The Badge was worn on the uniform upper pocket on the left side if you were in the uniform and if you were looking at the soldier it would be on your right as you faced him.
