Day 3 Friday June 29, 2007 Total Mileage 346 Miles

Day three of the trip started out with breakfast, and showers and then cleaning up the rv and packing up, unhooking and leaving the campground. We then drove to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indy. We did the tour of the museum, checked out the gift shop and I got a sweatshirt, because with all the packing we did, I didn't pack myself any sweatshirts or a jacket, smart move huh ! After we did the museum, we got tickets for the bus tour of the track and got to do a lap around the speedway. And if you're reading this and you know who you are, our bus driver on the tour was a twin for OUR UNCLE FLOYD !! When we got out of the speedway we went back to the rv for a snack and the strangest bug was crawling on Corey, too much panic, I wish we had gotten a picture.

We left the speedway at around 3:00 and crossed the Illinois State Line at 4:31, found a Walmart in Effingham Illinois, did some shopping and got the time change where we gained an hour, yipee. we left there and found a Culver Burgers, recommended to us on the RV boards, tried the Butter Burger, oh my god, it was awesome. And very reasonable prices, yummy.

We drove for awhile and didn't see any campgrounds in the area, we crossed the Missouri State line at 7:53 and I saw the Arch at St Louis first, finally we just found a Flying J in Warrenton Missouri and set up camp in their parking lot, any port in a storm, we were tired and there was room. There were other campers there too.
