RV Trip To Yellowstone Day 4
Toured The Harry S Truman Library and House Independence Missouri, then off to Kansas
Day four of the trip started out with breakfast, and showers and then cleaning up the rv and packing up, and leaving the Flying J. We then drove to Independence Missouri. That is where the Harry S Truman Library and House is. He grew up as a boy in this house, and his Library is there, so we toured that, walked around the grounds and relaxed. The weather was perfect early in the day, later that day it got alittle warmer. Kelly started acting up towards the end, we were really into the WWII displays but Kelly couldn't give a darn, so I took her outside so she could burn off some energy and Dad and Corey could enjoy the rest of the displays in peace.
We left the Truman Library and got into a traffic jam near Kansas City, and it was rainy there too. We finally got to the Kansas state line at 4:35 and kept going until we got to the 4 Seasons RV park near Abilene Kansas. That was a good location because tomorrow we want to tour the Eisenhour Center in Abilene Kansas.
The 4 Seasons RV Park was nice with lots of bike riding room, Corey rode his bike like a maniac. We did the laundry there too to get caught up. We had a nice Steak dinner with Mashed potatoes and veggies and rolls and butter. The campground had a sign that said if there is a tornado, to come to the office, it is designed as a tornado shelter, yikes !
